What is Counselling, Coaching & Managerial Supervision?

Supervision…

I provide individual and small group Clinical Supervision and Managerial Supervision, to Qualified and Trainee Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Coaches, as well as, individuals and organisations, that require Supervision for their employee’s, managers and volunteers, similar to EAP. Supervision is for anyone, providing Therapeutically-based services, working in roles that require regularly giving, or receiving emotionally challenging communications, or engaging in relationally complex and challenging roles.

I am an Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Supervisor & Quantum Human Design, Self Discovery – Self Love Coach, with over 18 years combined experience.

In addition, I have an 8 year, extensive background and experience in running a Counselling agency,  where I have managed, mentored, Counselled and Supervised, many Trainee Counsellors on placement, as well as newly Qualified Counsellors, and Qualified Counsellors, in various settings.

I use my experience, as well as skills from Psychodynamic, Person Centred and CBT Models, as well as Quantum Human Design, EFT, Self Discovery – Self Love Coaching & Spirituality and I integrate these modalities across all of my work.

I apply the Inskipp and Proctor supervision model – where supervision is a working alliance between the supervisor and supervisee (Counsellor) in which the supervisee can offer an account or recording of their work; reflect on it; receive feedback and where appropriate, guidance. This model of supervision describes three aspects of the tasks and responsibilities of the supervisor and supervisee; Normative, Formative and Restorative (management, learning and support).

“The counselling journey has been nerve wracking for me, including starting supervision”

“Emma had helped me feel completely at ease and comfortable to discuss anything that is concerning me. During each session, Emma encourages me to express and explore my thoughts and feelings by breaking them down and helping me connect with what matters to me personally. The way Emma uses the process of re-framing scenarios and situations and the wording she uses when asking questions provides me with the space and clarity to come to my own conclusions and answers.

Supervision with Emma has been vital throughout my counselling journey; increasing my confidence in dealing with clients and the agency online system, as well as my own counselling abilities”

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) + Coaching division and work to the BACP Code of Ethics and apply this within all of my work.

I offer Supervision via Telephone, or Online (ZOOM) to ensure that I am accessible to each client, no matter where you are in the world.

All services can be provided on a one off, Ad Hoc, or package service basis.

I attend my own regular Supervision to ensure I am working ethically and safely, at all times.
